When will the VPPA be implemented and quota offered?

  • The program is called Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) and the VPPA is called Corporate Green Power Agreement (CGPA).
  • The programme was launched on 7 November 2022.
  • Earlier on, the total capacity allocated for the programme is 600 megawatts (MW). Recently on 9 March 2023, the Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC) announced the additional capacity of 200 MW to enable more companies to subscribe to green electricity supply to meet ESG commitments
  • Application is open from 7 November 2022 until 6 February 2023. Subsequent to the announcement of an additional capacity of 200MW, this programme will be open until 31st December 2023 or until the full allocation of the 800MW quota. The solar power plant shall be completed before the end of 2025
